    Just went out to this machine. Customer said drum wasn’t turning.
    It turns out that the plastic drum pulley is loose but I can’t remove it. The nut turns independently of it, so even with the drum pulley jammed, the nut just rotates with the bearing (anticlockwise and clockwise)
    Does anyone know how to remove it?
    Machine is only 2.5 years old.

    assume the nut is turning the drum so you will need to hold that

    that couldnt happen if the pulley has a half shaft though ?

    just looked it up . looks liked ribbed and round .. could well be dave :p

    Thanks Dave. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that. D’oh. Hopefully going back this week with the customer holding the drum for me. I have a new pulley and a new screw, fingers crossed.

    New drum pulley did the trick. Though I don’t know for how long. There was nothing left of the spline on the old one and the corresponding spline on the shaft is quite rounded off too, but there was enough left for the new pulley to slot on.
