Okay so, there’s a whole bunch of stuff to unpick in this and what with the Covid et all the past while things have been quiet. But, that ends now.

RTR, Restart, WTA, myself among others are well peeved off about some manufacturer’s reactions to this.

So if you think that a brand/manufacturer isn’t doing as they should can you let us know what they’re doing and why you think it’s wrong as in no spares/tech info and so on, non-supply of parts, making parts so expensive as to make indie repair non-viable and so on.

I’m keen to throw a spotlight on it to consumers so they can buy stuff that can actually be repaired sensibly.

The WTA are all over this as well but they can’t be, shall we say, as “forthright” as I can perhaps be, As in, I can say whatever the hell I want, they can’t.

on this subject, does anyone know if BSH will give tech info to independent’s, last time I tried I drew a blank, but we had a customer phone on Fri as Bosch had given her a service visit date of 8th Oct for her Fridge Freezer, when we declined due to lack of tech etc she went back and complained to them and they said they are happy to give tech advice to independents we just have to ring…
