ParticipantHi
I thought I’d post on this forum for any advice about my b****y beebing Bosch fridge freezer which is driving me f*****g insane
In May 2020 I purchased a Bosch fridge freezer from Currys which after a few months developed a fault where the alarm which usually sounds if one of the doors is left open for too long was going off even with both doors securely closed.
I contacted Currys who told me to contact Bosch to organise an engineer to come out and fix it. After four separate visits over a period of five months from different Bosch engineers the fault was never fully solved or fixed and in the end the fridge freezer was replaced for a brand new one which I received in June this year.
Well, would you believe it, the same exact fault has returned on this brand new Bosch fridge freezer which was a like-for-like replacement. I am literally run out of options as to what could be causing this. I have contacted Bosch again who have arranged an engineer to have another look at it on Thursday but to be honest, I think I just want to return it to Currys, get a refund and try a completely different brand and hopefully one without an alarm.
I live in a small studio flat with a small kitchen about 8 foot square. Is it because the kitchen it’s in is too small or there isn’t enough space around the fridge? Would that make a difference? Or temperature changes in the room?
any suggestions why this could be happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Joanna

ParticipantIs it an integrated appliance? If so, is it maybe pushed too far into the carcass, disallowing the doors to fully close?

No it’s a free standing appliance and the doors have no problem closing. I’ve even tried moving it away from the wall giving ar least a foot gap around all sides but it doesn’t solve the issue.
