ParticipantHi,
We have a Bosch WAT32480GB/17 (FD: 9902). It’s about 3 or 4 years old. Yesterday we started getting the flashing tap symbol and beeping at the start of every cycle. The machine seems to be filling with water (can be seen through the door), but the cycle doesn’t continue.
As per the manual, I’ve checked the hose for kinks and cleaned the filter. No obvious issues and made no difference.
I followed the reset procedure on the site and get two errors P:01 and E:29.
Can someone give some pointers as to what may be wrong? I’m guessing a sensor as water feed and filling looks ok.
Thanks,
Ken.

Moderatorthere will be a sensor
some later machine have one on the valve but also there should be a pressure sw
cant be more specific as the Bosch site has errors on this machine and does not list all parts

ParticipantDid a search and the explanation of E29 is very vague. Just says it’s a water flow error which is essentially what the flashing tap symbol is telling me. Is there anything obvious here considering the machine is getting water? Is there a water level sensor?

Moderatorbecause the bosch spares site has a fault on this machine i cant tell

look at this valve ( its prob not correct for your machine)
there is a black section just behind where the water hose screws on, this is a water flow sensor and if yours has this it may well be fault or have a faulty connection to it

ParticipantIf you have a multimeter set it on high Ohms and remove the valves 3 wire connector you should then be able to test the solenoid coils. I had this one before, last wek as it happens, and it was the left coil open circuit. A new valve should cure the problem. And yes the wretched Bosch spares site will not work for your model and I did try the /01 version and that didn`t work either. Type in this part number: 00606001 ( a Siemens / Bosch part number ) and see visually if we are all singing from the same hymm sheet. Make sure because the valve is about 45 quid a shot from memory. The pattern / alternative* valve is a Qualtex valve equivalent at about half the price, part number QUAVAL44. *As far as I know this Qualtex supplied valve is exactly the same valve since Bosch do not make their own valves it is just a bought in part by the part suppliers as a bulk buy.

ParticipantAddition. If you do prove the valve is a duffy best phone Bosch up to make sure this valve I mentioned is the correct one given their website does not work properly. This trade is famed for valves that all look the same but in fact are not and I`d hate to have given you the wrong part number.

ParticipantI’ll give that a try, thanks.
