    It works fine for a while in fan oven mode, it heats fine then suddenly the oven fan motor, element & the selector switch neon just stop working…… the led timer stays on….. then after a few mins it starts back up again (cooling fan motor stays on)

    I’m thinking the led timer gets hot, cuts out the power to the switch then cools down and starts back up again…. weird to me but thats my thoughts

    ANY other ideas please?

    is this the one that cuts out the fan and element when it gets to temp then brings it back on when the temp on the thermostat drops. if it is then it caught me out thinking it was a fault.

    they take some gettinmg used to. had a hotpoint do that made me think

    there even making ovens more difficult to fix now . pcb controled like whirpool o no you idiots

    had a hotpoint that really got me till i researched it

    fault was fan motor gone , simple enough you would have thought. fitted new motor and could not get it to start. instead the grill element came on for 5 secs every now and then
    turned out this unit did a self test of the sensor by using the grill element and then detecting a heat rise before it would turn on the fan and main element.

    just in case you ever come across one
