    Hey all,

Wondering if anyone can offer me some advise…

I’m currently getting an E02 (failed to fill) error on my Hoover washing machine (DYN10144D3X).

The water pressure is good, I’ve removed and cleaned the powder tray and inlet hose filter.

I detached the pressure switch but found the tube slightly difficult to blow through so I flipped the machine on it’s side, removed the bottom end of the tube and poked a little pipe cleaner in to the plastic connector on the drum in case there was anything blocking it there… I’m not sure if this made any difference as I’m not sure what the connector/drum looks like internally but after reconnecting the pipe I found it no easier to blow through (air was passing, but slowly).

I *think* the error might be occurring on the last part of the wash (conditioner) which, again, i *think* might be a different solenoid being used to fill the machine (there’s 2 solenoids with 2 pipes connecting to the powder tray) but im really not sure… When ever I watch the machine it seems to fill fine and doesn’t give an error…

I’m wondering, if it’s not the solenoid, could there be a problem/blockage with the pressure switch which could cause the E02 error , or would this only cause an E03 error on drain (as the hoover website suggests)?

Any advice/hunches on where to look next or how to efficiently unblock the pressure switch tube (if that can even cause an E02 error)?

    Cheers,

    Dan

Oh cheers Dave! Is Pressostat the pressure switch? I guess if so then I know it has the potential to be a problem…

Any guess I just got to figure out whether it’s a solenoid, switch or blockage problem now!

the machine has not detected it

so its either not there or its there and the machine cant see it

yes presso stat is the pressure sw. That also has a pressure bell at the bottom that can get blocked

also as an after thought check the pipe coming off the pressure sw. Had a few rubbed through over the years

the pipe seems ok, i’ve viewed it from the top and bottom and can’t see any damage on it. Was also able to blow through it when i removed the pressure switch. It seemed slightly restricted but I assume that’s normal as the tube isn’t too big so i guess the plastic hole in the drum is even smaller!

I’ve read about blocked pressure chambers but the chamber and connecting pipe seemed to be integral to the drum (as far as i could tell)… So no idea if it can be accessed and cleaned more thoroughly or whether the pipe cleaner I stuck in the hole would be enough to dislodge anything there…

Think i’ll look up the cost of the solenoid and switch and try replacing which ever is the cheaper part!

you can always add water through the soap draw as a test while its filling to see if a greater water flow helps
