    Hi,

Recently the electricity tripped, upon turning it back on noticed my fan oven wasn’t getting hot so guessing the element has popped and tripped it at the same time.

I’ve got a new element on order but I took off the cover and took the element off and noticed that there’s no wire on the earth tag… is it normal for there to be an earth tag but no wire? or is it likely that when I’ve pulled the element out it’s dropped off? (I used no force at all however so I’m thinking there was never one on there in the first place?)

Don’t really want to have to pull the whole unit out if I don’t have to.

New part should arrive tomorrow so hoping I can simply pull off the two wires, replace onto the new element and screw it all back together.

Thanks, just never attempted anything like this before (yes I did turn off power to the oven though! 🙂 )

Thanks, new element arrived today… swapped it over spades were a bit tight to get off but new one in and now oven seems to be working fine!

The old element was definitely not happy, the rings had kind of fused together at one point and weren’t really in shape fully, no wonder it tripped the electricity!
