ParticipantMy Britannia cooker hood lights started to flash and click when I turn on the extractor fan. The clicking got worse but the fan continued and seemed better on fan 3. I switched off the power and on again and the lights and fan do nothing. I have dismantled the electrics and tried an alternative transformer but nothing different. I suspect the electronic board may be at fault but I don’t want to spend £200 to find it isn’t the problem. Any advice? I think the board part number is 08080684 can anyone confirm please?

Moderatordoes sound a bit like a board problem
have you check the power going to the unit is there
also where does £200 come from when the part no you give is only £90

ParticipantThanks for the prompt reply. I have got power to the board and power out to the transformer for the lights. I looked at Britannia spares and they said £205 for this replacement board. There s a plug in capacitor on the board is there any way of simply texting this is ok before trying the new board?

you would have to show me a pick of the capacitor your talking about for me to suggest anything
if you need to post pic you will have to host the pics on another site and post public links

ParticipantThanks very much Dave I may just take condenser into local elect shop and see if they can test it. Then I’ll sort board if that shows condenser is ok. Thanks for your help. Keith
