Good morning all, just looking for some advice, recently called out to repair main oven selector switch on Britannia SI-10T6-CC-F 09241042 ,was supplied with BTNSPIA03411 which is a GOTTAK 801601 switch, function tested all ok.Got called back to say oven switch different to original switch fitted as it now has a stop on it(won’t turn right to last oven function have to go all way round left get to last function).I metered all oven functions to make sure all positions on switch corresponded to oven settings and they did,and all elements metered fine, but customer states that the conventional oven takes longer to heat up now as well as switch not turning all the way around as it did before..anyone else had this issue? He reckoned the conventional oven with fan assist took 10-15 mins to heat up which now takes 20-30

I need the ART number, the model on these is of little use.

And, which oven it’s for if it’s a double one.

A03411 is correct then, can be others but they’re wildly different and that’s the only option in that case.

The switching has not changed but do check the connections and from terminals to wire as they’re known to be an issue at times.

Many thanks, for confirming that Kenneth..appreciated.i switched on all different oven functions one at a time and made sure the selected elements were all getting voltage when they should and I wonder if they have added this stop as a safety “thing”..

    Well…

The switch cannot possibly affect the heat up times. As much as they may say it does, it physically cannot do so.

As to it turning all the way around, I don’t know if they ever did and I the one in it was faulty, again, well…
