    Neff Integrated Dishwasher: S51E50X1GB/20 FD9403

I’m not sure how old it it but it has to be at least 5 years?

The issue is similar to this earlier thread:

    https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/public-support-forums/help-and-support/dishwasher-help-forum/872901-neff-integrated-dishwasher-pump-constantly-running

However, my dishwasher pump continuously runs, even if the door is open! It cannot be switched off or reset via the control panel buttons and can only be turned off at the mains.I left it overnight and when I turned it on at the mains in the morning the pump started to run again, even with the door open. When I first noticed the issue last night, the dishes were clean, it was warm inside, not the usual hot and there was a little water, low down in the drain.

I haven’t had great experiences with repairing dishwashers in the past so was wondering whether I should cut my losses and just get another one or is this one worth saving?

So, not a good thing then. What am I looking for? A leaking pipe or seal? Something along those lines?

    somtimes they just do it

other times there is a leak
    mop it out
then run it and watch for drips with a torch

So, it had been standing for a couple of days untouched and I pulled it out of the kitchen cabinet. I gave it a 45 degree tilt backwards and forwards, side to side and nothing came out. I turned the electric back on and everything seemed OK. I could start a cycle, stop it and cancel it. Then I noticed at the back about an eggcup full of water on the floor. I ran a wash cycle that lasted an hour and a half and all was well – the machine didn’t drip any more water. I checked the cupboard before replacing it and that was bone dry. So, not the deluge I expected. I’ll just have to keep an eye on it but very puzzling.
