I have a -Candy GOC 590C — tumble dryer. nothing is happening. No lights ,no noise.
I do have mains L & N to the small plug on the back of the PCB behind the control knobs.
I have checked the door switch and there is a short when the door is closed, which I take to be correct.
    Any ideas please?

Thanks Dave. – What are your views on buying a £50+ replacement part (PCB) for this machine,
when it is possible to go out to a second hand repair shop and probably buy a more recent working
tumble dryer for £60+. – I wonder why domestic appliances parts suppliers ,stock expensive parts,
when it is probably uneconomical to repair.

am getting around £90 for your board

as for buying a used dryer it really depends if you get any warranty with it

also if anyone near you repairs elecronic boards it will probably be the power supply chip thats gone. have replaced loads of them

    you could also look at

and see if they can repair

I fitted a used Candy PCB that I bought for £20, code number 40008456. The last 4 digits of the code number were different to my faulty board. The machine now works.
    (faulty PCB number is 40005951)
Can you say where you bought the power relay- RT334012F – as I fancy having a go at repairing the faulty PCB and putting the original PCB back
    in the tumble dryer

Farnell have that exact one – https://uk.farnell.com/potter-brumfield-te-connectivity/rt334012f/relay-spst-no-250vac-16a/dp/1891934 – or this one on eBay is a different make but looks to be the same spec – https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124949175664
