ParticipantI brought this dish washer about 2 years ago and its been a great appliance, but recently the top draw which is for the utensils has started getting caught on the spray bar that cleans the utensils.
On further inspection it appears the top spray bar has come away from the body of the dish washer. On top of the spray bar is 2 tabs that go within an hole on the top of the dishwasher but the spray bar keeps falling out again. I put my finger in the hole (and I maybe wrong) but it appears that there is some sort of twisting mechanism inside to lock the 2 tabs on the spray bar to the body of the dishwasher. Have I got to remove the dishwasher and the top panel (if possible) to lock the spray bar into position or am I missing something? couple of images here–December 4, 2021 at 1:45 pm #480135tubafan
ParticipantFrom your pictures it looks like you need to remove the ‘paddle’ from the spray bar (twists off?) and then the bar should hopefully twist lock into the top. It does however look like the plastic has got a bit mangled, perhaps when the spray bar has got pulled out, so there may no longer be enough left to fix it properly. Until you try you won’t know.

ParticipantThanks for the reply. once you remove the paddle all there is, is a hole where the water comes out. Its not directly inline with the hole. This appears a dead end. I’ve had another look and it does look like there is a locking mechanism in the body of the dishwasher. When I get a minute I’ll pull dishwasher out and see if its just a case of removing top or if its more involved.

Moderatori doubt if removing the top is going to help as any pipe or fitting is secured to the tub for water tightness
you just have to figure out whats jamming it and why

ParticipantIs it possible to remove the back end of the spray bar, then twist it to attach at the top, and then reattach at the back?

ParticipantRight an update.
Firstly thanks for all your help. I pulled the dishwasher out and was surprised to see that the dishwasher did not have a top on it (I fitted it and don’t remember that). Anyway it was covered in what I can only describe as insulating foam. Underneath was a “nob” that held in the spray bar. Spray bar pushed through and nob turned and then fixed. Just a shame I had to remove dishwasher to re-attach spray bar. Pictures attached.https://ibb.co/rxphkFB
