hi, is it just me or are there others here who are having issues with the way in which washvac are now operating and seem to have a complete disregard for the problems they are causing their customers ??

OK as promised from the horses (not Goats) mouth 😆

As of June 1st….WASHVAC are no more. STOCKLINK whilst still in operation has not and (at the moment) will not be updated ’til further notice. Orders need to be placed via Stocklink b/4 1 pm to get next day delivery.

Wolseley have taken over in total and many WASHVAC reps are well miffed by the uncertainties of the outcome. Now the problems with the PARTS CENTER website (i.e. getting Identifier to work etc) will be resolved by the end of June at the latest. All sales reps are having in house training on the new website next Tuesday (June 14th).

The new Parts Centre web site is costing the company £10,000’s at present, so look out for them wanting to offset that cost onto us…the customer 🙁

There is a strong lobby of individuals that meanwhile are trying to retain STOCKLINK but don’t hold your breath on that!

That’s the latest….stay tooned for more from the horses mouth :rotfl:

i was told today that all the accounts dept in kent were made redundent last week, also if you have moved premises in the last 3 months there is a high probability your statements/invoices will be sent to your old address, the reason being they dumped the data to pull across into the wolsely accounts 3 months ago ! Something i discovered today. All accounts are now being administered up north somewhere (well up north to me lol) i have got them to put a password on my account so nothing can be ordered without it as i have had some invoices sent to a previous address and as we know they contain our account numbers! I suggest anyone who has changed their address to get onto them pronto.

I have just been to PARTS CENTRE web site to try and place an order , it has a section for domestic appliance spares but it appears not work as all part numbers give same reply (this is not a valid part number) they do not seem to want any business .

The vast, sprawling metopolis of Burnley. That’s where the call-centre is anyway. I phoned them up and I could understand them! They spoke propa english like me.

    ‘Reet? Parts-centre. You want summat?’

first off if you go to http://www.washvac.com <—note .com you can use the old system, using their crappy new system you have to enter the part number into the box labeled keyword search.

Yes, business as normal and working alongside the Parts Center web site. Washvac will notify all account holders of the changes in due course (by the end of June I expect)

same old story big company buys out small company then all the smaller customers that started the firm up years ago get left by the way side unless you spend millions with washvac there not that interested in your bussines any more……i stop dealing with them the day they moved to the parts centre…………….phone masterpart 01702 310031 by 4.00 and the part is on your door next day guaranteed…….and there cheaper (to the best of my knowlage)…..(i must point out that that is only my opinion)they grew big by having a trade counter you could visit on the quick if you got stuck…..

It’s actually quite shocking the amount of companies owned by the Wolseley group now 😯

    http://www.wolseley.com/

Have a look around if you get a few minutes, and the UK site 😉

Last week I went to a local branch of Plumb Center to buy a new mixer tap, in the same ‘shed’ there is a ‘Parts Center’ counter where this young chap was supplying an askoll pump to a lady customer and she was writing a cheque out for £19.99 (as far as I know that was all she was buying by the way 🙁 )

Oh! and the mixer tap was out of stock 😕

    Re: washvac

So we build this company up from roots from, what was it? a couple of ex Hoover engineers? to the point where the owners can flog it off (I dont blame them for that by the way and I would do the same thing) to a large national and then they start flogging stuff to Joe P cuttting us out of the picture. After all, they now know exactly what to stock having learned from our ordering patterns. I wonder though how knowledgable their parts staff are though? As I think we all know, you need to be an expereinced engineer to sell parts properly and I wonder if the same guy who just sold a ballcock is now trying to flog a indesit eeeprom module.
Got to feel sorry for those in Maidstone who knew about customer service and tried their hardest to help.
