Miele W565 washing machine – no heat?

Has anyone experienced with Miele washers that the element itself might be fine, but for whatever reason, the water just never gets hot? I have run a 95 degree wash about four times now and constantly monitored the temperature of the water by both holding onto the waste pipe and also feeling the front of the glass door (which isn’t insulated) and at no point does the water heat – at all!

I have changed the element just to be sure and it hasn’t made a scrap of difference.

Prior to changing the element, the washing machine did appear to be the cause of some RCD tripping, but since I changed the element it hasn’t done that once, and that was easily reproducible and not related to the motor spinning the drum.

Any help much appreciated. Tearing my hair out.
