Recently the noise from what I think is the circulation pump on this model, is slowly getting worse. The noise is there during the wash cycle, and varies with the speed of the motor. The waste pump seems quiet. The machine is about 6 years old and gets a lot of use daily. Is this a normal sort of failure? The cleaning performance is as good as ever, it’s just the noise that’s getting annoying.

Bosch’s part number is: 12014980 for the pump. It comes in at about £98.00. I want to be reasonably sure that this will cure the problem before ordering!

Thanks for any help or guidance.

have you checked the entrance of the pump for possible debris

    Thanks Dave,

There’s a real ‘mains’ hum type noise that seems to come from the floor of the unit. I’m not asking for a Haynes Manual type explanation, but is the motor accessible, possibly from underneath?

    Regards, Jerry.

yes but its a sealed unit and you cant see anything. you may be able to see if its the motor making the noise by running with the side off

Thanks for that Dave. I’ll have a good look round as you have kindly suggested. Its a expensive part to order then get it wrong.
