Hi – after some advice please… we’re replacing our oven and have seen what looks a good price on an ex-display Siemens i700 oven, apparently still with warranty intact. The store says it’s only ever been used on “demo mode”.

I guess this means the display etc has been on quite a lot etc. Anyone have a view as to whether this is likely to shorten the “life expectancy” of oven or not? Should I avoid? (Or pay the couple of hundred more for a brand new one?)

    TIA

Dependss how long its been on diplay

dont forget that in use the display is on 24/7 and they do design with this in mind

when they say warranty intact i assume you can still get full 2 years . if yes would say its probably worth it

Agree with Dave on lifetime of the clock, Make sure it’s taken out of demo mode before you buy and also ask whether or not any elements have been disconnected for the “demo” mode.

Get the two year guarantee in writing.

it allows it to be displayed in a shop all functions can be set but none of the elements work
