    Hi I recently replaced a new heater element on a Hotpoint Tumble dryer due to it kept tripping out and I kept having to reset the thermostat, it was a straight like for like replace part I purchased from Whirlpool. I took old one out and plug the new one in and the Tumble dryer is dead.

    Could anyone help with any suggestions why. There was the one block connector and 2 other wires which were cable tied back on themselves.

    cant think quickly but as an engineer i would plug the old one back in an see if its still dead

    its a really simple dryer so it cant be much
