Ok I tried in a separate vein,
This is a dual fuel Dual Cooker.
approx once a year . The main oven goes into overheat mode. (food not cooked yet by the way)
    Oven goes off
    warning lights and sounder operate,
cooling fan comes on…. We can cook again………………………. Any cure suggestions, if so where to get parts suggested, quite happy to try trial and error, Which is all Pro’s are doing anyway, and I’m being charged £200 a pop. I am qualified sparky by the way. Grateful for all suggestions, as long as they are not rude.
    Thank you,…. Ken again.

Yes I have the wiring diagram, I totally agree, and thats an interesting thought, although I mentioned it last ,but its not necessarily. the last thing that happened. And would cooling fan operate before cooking was complete? All the bits and bobs are wired back to a control board. That was the 1st item that was replaced.
    Thanks, Ken

well i would expect the fan to come on as things warm up and stay on for 10 mins or so after switch off

some oven turn fan on with control knob others use a stat that turns on when it gets warm. you have to look on diag to see whats there

Cooling fan sticking/seizing up. The intermittent nature would suggest a mechanical cause, not electronic or electric as if it were a stat or board it’d be faulty and that’d be that other than a board relay which, is unlikely as they too tend to work or not, period.

    Hard fault to find though.

My next question was when does cooling fan come on? . well i tried that and it comes on , on any setting , pretty much immediately. So from that I assume said cooling fan is checking external oven temperature , not the oven temp.. Ok I’m happy to replace both fan and it’s thermometer. Worth a try. I’ll see if I can spot specific part nos, And I’ll be back. If any one has contrary views suggestions please shout , Im open to all offers here. Thank you K. Ken.

Depends how they’re set up, some come on as soon as the oven does, some after it reaches a certain temperature. That one appears to be controlled by the board so it depends on how that’s been set up but, it’s all too possible it runs with the oven and for a time after finishing in order to keep the electronics and facia cool.
