ParticipantThe dryer elements are fine and the dryer tocs meter out, the fan motor goes around as normal but there’s still no heat.
I’ve by-passed both tocs anyway but there’s still no power getting to the dryer elements…. it has a separate pcb feeding the components, so am I best changing this dryer pcb?
All the wiring is in good condition.

Moderatoryou need to check the 2 dryer thermistors and wiring
both should read 5000 ohms at 25 degrees C

I didn’t actually check them with heat….. there’s 2 toc’s on the dryer duct (one is white on top, the other is black on the side) then there’s a thermister in the front where the ducting bends towards the door seal

Moderatorwell its unlikely both would go faulty so if the reading are similar and in a similar range they should be ok

ParticipantI’ll go back to check them with a lighter….. but if they react to the heat and are ok then I’d be looking at the dryer pcb failure I’m guessing?

Moderatorbe careful with lighter as if its too hot for probe it can damage it
you could try timed dry instead of automatic
also you cannot say its the board till everthing else has been looked at like tracing sensors back to board to make sure its not a wiring problem

DaveI went back today for another lool………..The new “one shot” stat had the same response to heat as the original, then I by-passed the other 2 stats but with no better results – the heaters are both ok, the wiring to & from the parts-pcb are all ok, so I’m thinking it must be the dryer pcb at fault
BUT I’m getting mains power to the top “one shot” stat (2 grey wires) and the side stat (2 blue wires) which is confusing me because in my mind it should then heat up…. but its not 🙁

Moderatoryou need a neutral or it wont work so you need to find out where it gets it from
maybe a faulty relay on the board if its neutral switched

Participanthmmm, isn’t this the machine where the wires that go to the front dry thermostat always break inside the tight bonding that their wrapped in causing this no heat fault?
They have updated the wiring loom to this front thermostat for this reason
