we bought a Bosch WAQ28461 as recommended on here nearly 10 years ago.
After years of faultless service it seems to be on its way out so starting to look into replacements.
Family of 3+a muddy dog
approx 6 loads a weekBudget is variable but around the £500 seems reasonable but could spend more if there’s value in doing so.
To my untrained ear it sounds like the bearings are going, if it fails on a spin cycle is it going to dance around my kitchen until the cycle ends or will it just stop?
we had that exact washing machine, bought in 2011, it lasted about 6 years of very hard usage (2/3 loads a day) the bearings went in the end like yours.
we now have 2 x series 6 bosch washers and the eco silence drive is just amazingly quiet, on full spin you can honestly stand next to it and have a conversation!

Thanks. I’ll have a look at that one. I’d seen the WAU28T64GB, specs seem similar as does price, any ideas on the difference or which is the preferable choice

the one you are looking at looks better value, bigger drum and a series 6
