To my untrained ear the bearings are failing on our Bosch WAQ28461. Is it worth the call out charge to see if this is cost effective to repair, even if it is repairable or should we just bite the bullet and replace the machine? It’s been a fantastic washer over the last 10 years.

its a fairly expensive job to replace the bearings even if they are replacable

at 10 years old thats a fairly good life so probably time to replace

    Thanks all

I’ve looked at some YouTube videos about how to tell that it is the bearings but it doesn’t fit what they’re saying. Please can anyone confirm that it does sounds like bearings?

yeh it does sound like the bearings, it will get worse with time so maybe get a replacement while you still have use of it

agree it vdoes sound like bearings

    fastest way to tell
    remove belt
    open dopor and spin drum
it should be smooth and quiet

if its got a rumbling sound then its dead
