Hi All, new member and first time poster, so please be gentle.

Basically we developed 9 flats and used these fridges, in the 3 years after ordering we has 2 fail in warranty and then 2 fail just after. All 4 have been replaced under warranty and goodwill. Now we have another fail, with the same fault. That’s 5 out of 9, 55{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of them. Has anyone had any experience with this model and it not being fit for purpose?

    What is the “same fault”?

Also have these been installed correctly according to the manufacturers spec? I would not have thought that the same fault so regular would have appeared on all machines unless it is a batch fault which very rarely happens nowadays.

Hi Don, the same fault was confirmed by the manufacturers appointed repairer. He turned up and said, yep. its the compressor failed again. They have been installed by the main contractor and as far as we know, they have been done to specification.

Sounds like a batch of dud compressors then.

On a more positive note if you have all the previous service visits confirming the fact then I would approach Leisure again.
There is a raft of consumer info on this link which includes the six year myth which may be worth pursuing as long as the criteria is met.

Failing that I think you may have to take a hit and replace them with another brand.

    Thanks again Don.

The serial numbers are all very close together as you’d expect, but as we’re out of warranty now they are saying there is no issue and no recall notice.

I will be contacting the appliance repair company for a note of their inspections so we can go back to Leisure with the evidence.

And noted on the hit! with 5 to replace I am trying to avoid doing that so it’s worth an argument at the moment!

Just by way on an update on this, I am still arguing with both Leisure and AO, as now 7 of 9 fridges have failed with a compressor fault or the inverter board controlling it.
