Good day. I have a 8-9year old zanussi zbb28440sa integrated fridge freezer that came with the house. It doesn’t feel as cold as my neighbours’ anymore and it’s missing a lot of compartments that would total almost £250 if I were to buy every compartment again.
What would be a good replacement for it? I also don’t know the door hinge type to start my search.
Googling says you have a 50:50 split integrated fridge freezer with sliding hinge. You can confirm this yourself by opening one of the doors, if you look along it’s upright edge you should see two plastic blocks leading to the slider mechanism. If this is the case you have plenty of choice of replacements as it’s the most popular variant.
After some searching around, I have narrowed down to:
Zanussi ZNFN18FS5 (£797 including installation, removal of old appliance, and extended warranty 5years)
AEG SCE818F6NS (£751 including installation, removal, but only 1 year warranty and no option to prolong it)
The AEG has an auto defrost feature (and a smaller freezer capacity, 87L) for the freezer whereas the Zanussi is a manual defrost for the freezer (106L). Both fridges are self defrost. Is the auto defrost feature for the freezer worthwhile, or is it just an extra complication?
