    Hi all.
need some help with our old (20ish years) Bosch exxcel dishwasher. Model no.SRS45E02GB/18.
Basically the mains inlet interference capacitor has blown up, apparently a common fault. The part is obsolete, and the replacement part is obsolete. E Soares part number is ES 600233. I’ve found something on ebaybut it’s not like the plug in one I’ve got, but looks like it might fit in the male spades. If this does not work, can we run the machine without the capacitor fitted, it is it likely to damage anything else in the machine?

    Cheers
    Colin.

machine will be fine without the cap
but looks like site shop lists one

there is also this one but you may need to add terminals as it does not show if they are fitted or not

    Thanks Dave.
I ordered one from eBay which looks like the first one from the site shop so I’ll give that a go. If not we’ll run it without the capacitor if it’s not going to damage the machine anymore. I guess it might just play havoc with the TV?
    Thanks again.
    Colin.

Just wondering why they bothered to fit them?

regulations plus it can help stop small spikes on the mains from damaging electronics

if all appliances did not have them the mains supply would be full of spurious interferance

    Hi Dave
Sorry me again the part has turned up. It has an earth lead and two black leads with no identification as to which is negative and which is positive. Any ideas, don’t want to make it go pop again!
