    Hi – I have a NEFF integrated dishwasher E-Nr Number S517P70Y0G/26 FD 9609 Type SD6P1F

It is about 6 years old and is working fine with no errors on the display except that it started making a noise a couple of months ago. The noise starts at the beginning of the cycle so I’m pretty sure that it is the circulation heat pump. If relevant we have very soft water so I don’t expect that it will be limescale related.

Would you agree with my diagnosis or could something have contributed to the problem that also needs fixing? The noise is not a nuisance – should I just wait until if fails or the noise gets excessive?

I’ve found the part (00755078) on NEFF’s support website. If I do replace it, is it best done from the side or under the base?

    Many thanks,
    Nick

when you say it starts at the beginning of the cycle. how close to the beginning ?

all dishwashers start the drain pump first before filling and starting the wash pump.

does the noise then stop or keep going during wash ?

in that case most likely wash pump

    remove lower cover under door
unplug heater connection and smaller plug on motor side ( be carefull wiith this one)
take off rh side and remove main pcb then remove motor rear plug
    remove motor rubber bracket
then you can carefully twist the motor clockwise and waggle a bit to prise off the water outlet hose. then you can carefull remove motor

put back in reverse but you have to get the jubilee clip supplied on the outlet and secure

get the machine working and only put last covers on when your sure there are no leaks
