    Hi all!

So, my AEG L5480WD washer dryer has started skipping / shortening the wash cycle to such an extent, that it’s no longer cleaning my clothes. As an example, a 95 degree cotton wash starts with a cycle time of just over 3 hours, and in a few minutes it drops to 30 minutes, drains and starts the rinse cycles. So none of my clothes are seeing the full wash cycle. It’s doing this on other temperatures for the cotton cycle, and on the eco cycle.
    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks!

I just tried another 95 degree wash. The time display just jumped from 3 hours 1 minute to 1 hour 26 minutes after only 5 minutes into the cycle! It then washed for around 10 minutes, then jumped again from 1 hour 16 minutes to 40 minutes, and shortly after drained to start the rinse cycles.

UPDATE: OK I checked for error codes, one was showing: E69. Translated to a heater problem. So I just checked the resistance across the heater, and it’s open circuit! Replacement on order.

Replaced the heater, and all is now fine again!
