    Zanussi zdt 6252.
It often stops the cleaning cycle and displays the error code indicating a draining problem.
Sometimes it completes the cleaning cycle correctly five or so times in a row, then errors once or twice or even five times.
Upon error, when I open the door, there is water lying at the bottom.
I have put lots of cleaning products through it. I have also taken off internal pipework and de-gunged.

    sounds like a pump problem

these motors have a tendancy to loose fan blades on the drain pump

you can see what it looks like on this pic

    Thanks very much Dave.

The fan is intact without any blades missing. Moves freely too.
When looking in/removing the fan enclosure, I did find some little bits of plastic (food packaging about 2p size) and what looks like chunks of mushy paper with hair and other bits.

I’ve got the machine in the shed for testing. It seems like it’s draining stronger now that I’ve removed the above waste. But still sometimes it doesn’t drain at all.

Seems like it either drains well, or not at all. As opposed to it weakly draining every time.

always found these machines had a weak drain system

most of the drain problems i had on these were missing blades

assume you looked at the correct impellor which is nearer the motor
