    Turned the oven on the other day, and the 13A mains fuse went.

    I took it apart and measured the resistance across the prongs of the element as being some 20Ω, which I found strange – I thought it would either be open or shorted.

    Ordered another element and the resistance of that is the same.

    What’s going on, please?

    cant say from that info but its evident the element is not your problem

    Thanks, I’ve worked it out. I was focused on the grill element, rather than the oven element at the bottom.

    Problem determined.
