Just received a part I ordered, a cooling fan control thermostat. Decided to test for continuity before installing and there is no reading. Is this a faulty part or am I mistaken to think there should be.

A cooling fan control stat (switch?) will only have continuity when it gets warm, so I’d expect it to be open circuit at room temperature.

    agree with that one

if it had a reading the fan would not stop
