    Freezer measured within one degree of set temp (-18C set, measured at -17C). Fridge is measured at 20C, a couple of degrees below room temp!

    Where should I begin looking to fault find this symptom, please?

    well in case there is a build up of ice anywhere do a complete defrost and take it from there

    switch off, doors open for 2 days

    Ah yes, thanks. Definitely the 101 starting point of fridge repairs and the relatively easy thing to do to start. Have to eat my way through the freezer first 😉

    Worked, thanks. Nothing quite like “switching it off and switching it on again” even for a fridge :rolleyes:
