Hi,
Miele WKB120 washer when you select a programme m/c fills for about 15 seconds and then starts washing.
Then after 2 or 3 minutes the programme is aborted ..lights flash and m/c empties.
Then if you switch off and try to select another programme the message “programme cancelled” is displayed and cannot be cleared nor can the door be opened.
When it first played up the user said a error 63 appeared.
I’ve checked the pressure system which is all good so I’m suspected the dispenser top/electric valve may be the issue.
Any ideas?as you say most miele fill a bit then operate the motor unit at the rear of the draw to move water flow then fill some more
can you hear the motor running on the draw ?
F63 in known error codes comes up as
F63 Water path control unit fault

Yes you can hear the motor running on the dispenser top which I presume is what they mean when they say “water path control unit”?
Drain and spin cycle works ok which makes me suspect the dispenser top/water path unit is the cause of the problem.
The part retails at £230.00 so don’t want to order and fit if it doesn’t cure the fault.the only one i took apart is fairly simple
a motor and a few gears and a moving sw so the programmer knows its position and can stop it where it needs to be
the one i had that was faulty had got damp in an outside shed and tracked across causing the unit to not stop and also blew a resistor on the board
does this motor unit stop or keep running till you get the error

Whilst the unit motor is still turning the message programme cancelled is displayed and the door won’t open.
After an extended period of perhaps 30 minutes the door can be opened and another programme can be selected but then you get the same problem.ok carefully take the unit vto bits and look at the switch
the switch consists of a small pcb with revolving contacts. check for arcing due to mositure as the one it had the plastic of the draw in contact with the the board causing moisture to spread by hydroscopic action
before you do just remove and replace the plugs either end of the lead that feeds itDave
