Dishwasher aquastop solenoid valves

Dishwasher aquastop solenoid valve. Can anyone tell me whether the orientation really matters? My old (fully functioning) Bosch aquastop valve was horizontal. I’ve replaced the Bosch with a Miele and I keep getting a water inlet fault. The taps are fully on and there are no pipe kinks but we have low water pressure ~0.6bar in the kitchen (not convenient to replumb the mains supply yet). There is some water flow but it gurgles. I had to place the Miele aquastop valve with the solenoid above the pipe. Does it matter? Are the Mieles much more fussy about water pressure/flow rate than the Bosches? Thanks to anyone who has some information.
