    Hi all,

    It appears a defrost heater for this ff is only available as a complete unit with the evaporator and thermal fuses (C00520069). Anyone know if I can remove the defrost heater from the complete unit and install that in the existing evaporator to save having to install the complete unit and regas etc.

    checked to see if i can find any tech bulletins re heater and no

    as you say look like a complete evaporator which changes a fairly simple job into one that makes it possibly beyond economical repair

    Thanks Dave. Yes would be beyond economical repair if I was to install the evaporator assembly that’s why I was hoping to just remove the heater from the new part and install it on the existing evaporator.
