ParticipantCan anyone help me with this, a Beko DFN28R31X Dishwasher that blew the control board (black charred components) so replaced and worked fine for a couple of washes then blew the new board, thinking it may be the through heater so removed and tested with a RCD and seems ok so looking to see if anyone has similar experience. Thanks

Moderatorwill have to see the board and what has gone to enable to determine what has blown
it was unlikely to be the heater unless the heater relay or its tracks are damaged

ParticipantI don’t have a wiring diagram for this unit but I would suspect that TR7 may well supply the power to the wash pump.
Have you also checked for broken/damaged wires in the door hinge?Jem

Moderatorif i am right thats connector KN2 with damaged tracks and that seem to feed the detergent draw
if tr7 is the large triac then that does seem to feed the fan

ParticipantThat would make sense as the panel blew on the drying part of the cycle, I have checked the wiring at the bottom of the door and all appears ok but I will double check also check the fan, cabling to it etc

ParticipantJust giving an update, re-checked the wires at the bottom of the door and all ok also traced the wire back from the triac and it goes to the fan and also checks ok. I had previously changed the ntc for the water temperature as the water was just warm and the problem started after that but probably a coincidence.

Moderatorwith these sort of faults you follow the blown tracks
the tracki have acted like a fuse so a high current has flowed. you need to work out how that current flowed and from where to where

ParticipantJust wanted to update, found the cause of the blown tracks and transistor, there was a electrical leak on the thermoactuator probably due to water getting into it but not sure, replaced and all works fine, thanks to all for the help.

Moderatorthose thermo actuators are always suspect
Servis used to use them on the soap draw and very old Bosch combi microwaves use them and had them blow a lotDave
