Hotpoint aquarius

    Hello

    I have a hotpoint aquarius tumble drier i need to replace the heating element when i took of the back i noticed that the fan that is attached to the motor was spinning freely,,, is this normal or should it be fixed to the motor so it turns when the motor does thanks in advance

    normally yes fan is fixed to motor

    will need a lot more info to see which one you have

    need
    model number, Commercial code and serial no

    all on label inside door

    The m/n is CDT00P the s/n is 703200075 the IND CODE IS 95313490000 The fan is situated just below the heating element and i am just wondering if it should be fixed to the motor spindle or does it spin freely

    yes fans should be fixed to both ends of the motor shaft

    if its the rear plastic fan have had a few of them go
