ParticipantHi there. I’ve searched for error codes for my model of Hotpoint Dishwasher on the internet and here but can’t find anything relevant. Very grateful for any help. It’s a Hotpoint LTF 11M 124 6C L UK and is about 5 years old. There’s another number below that, 869991024990. I’ve just replaced the drain hose as it had been nibbled by mice and had a hole in it. Prior to replacing the hose it would run for about 5 minutes tops and then stop. I guess this was because it wasn’t detecting any back pressure in the hose due to the hole. Having replaced the drain hose, it appears to keep running for a full cycle, but while I’ve got it pulled out from under the counter (it’s a fully integrated model with no panel on the front) I can see the green LED on the power button is flashing continuously about 4 times a second and there’s a digit 1 on the display panel. I can’t feel any heat in the body of the machine even after an hour which makes me think the error code it to do with the heater, but it’s continuing to run the full cycle. Any advice? Thanks.

ModeratorHeater failure quite common on these, it’s integrated into the circulation pump assembly and can be checked with a suitable multimeter. If the heater is ok the main circuit board or breaks in the wiring harness would be next likely causes.

ParticipantThanks very much for the reply. I bought a new heater/circulation pump assembly about 6 months ago as it was stopping after 15 minutes when the heater should kick in, but on removing the old one I found it was good (checked resistance with a multimeter) but the impeller was a bit stuck. Freeing that up seemed to cure it so I now have a spare. This error seems different as it’s not stopping after 15 minutes but never draws water in or heats up (I’ve checked the water supply is good). Having forked out £85 for a heater/pump and £25 for a hose I’m reluctant to spend over £100 on a circuit board. It may be time for a new dishwasher, much as I hate to throw away repairable equipment, as it may be beyond economic repair….

ModeratorError codes for earlier LFT 114’s, I think they are still the same.

ParticipantThanks very much. Mine has a 7 segment display rather than individual LEDs but if code 1 applies, there’s definitely no leak. Do you know how to reset the dishwasher to clear the error code?

ModeratorReset on early models is simply power off for at least 30 seconds.
NB. You wouldn’t actually see a leak, the water should stay in the base and trip the float switch. You could try unplugging and then tilting the machine to one side to see if any water runs out.

ParticipantThanks for the update. There’s definitely no leak, I’ve had the machine on its back to refit the drain hose and have removed and refitted the drip tray and float switch.
