    Ciao a tutti,
Last week my house was struck by lightning… I had a lot of damage, among with my Siemens dishwasher (Siemens SN258B00NE/63).
I was at home but luckily I was only scared!

I’m not expert of dishwasher and electronic but I have a good dexterity (I’m a mechanical engineer) so I decided to try repairing by myself. In these day I’ve read a lot in order to understand how the machine works and for shure I’ve learned a lot of things….I also discovered this beautiful forum, and I’ve read lots of thread that helped me in resolving some issues.

Unfortunately I’ve not yet resolved all problems, and I hoe you can help me…
    Going with order:

    • The first problem was E9 error at the end of the cycle. I found the heating element of circulation pump burned. Repaired and now the resistance with ohmmeter is 20 ohm
    • After that… E02 Error at the end of the cycle. I found a fault relay in control module and so I’ve changed it
    • After this last repair (things get complicated for me) the draining pump, that had never given problems, stops working. And the water anyway wont heat.

I tried to understand if the drain pump works pulling up the security float… In this condition the pump start… but the wrong one: the circulating pump.

So, studying the board, I’ve seen other two relays: Putting voltimeter at this relay coil when the security float is up, at first I read 12V and after a second the voltage drop to 2V (opening the relay)

Definitively…. None of 4 realys works (the two of heater and the two of drain pump)
Have you any suggestion on what I can check on my board?

If the fault on your dishwasher was caused by a lightening strike then I’d be very wary about trying to repair it at all and would look to my house insurance to deal with it.

    Thank you for your suggesition.
Undortunately I dont have any insurance so I have to solve all the issue by myself.
Anyway.. today I’ve ordered a new board but I will be a big satisfacion for me if I can make the old board works again… like an exercise.
Have you any idea of what i can check on my board?
