I came home yesterday and opened my dishwasher to find it still full of water after it’s cycle.

I turned it on and off an got a E4 code overfilled too much inlet water.

I removed the water and had a look at at the drain pump. When I removed it there was a bit of plastic blocking the impeller.

I put it all back together, poured a little bit of water into the base of the dishwasher turned it on no error code came up.

It started it normal procedure of draining any water left in and this worked happy days i thought.

After about 20 seconds or so after the drainage sequence it starts to fill for about 25 seconds then just as it should start it’s cycle it starts beeping and gives an E1 error and then drains the water it just filled.

E1 meant to be a Longer inlet time – water not on, water restricted, or water pressure too low.

Water is entering the dishwasher and it has filled the bottom of the dishwasher so it’s not a inlet issue.

Any ideas on what to look at next??

how long does it take to fill

the machine has a pressure sw and may have a water flow sensor to know how much water is going in

    you need to check
1 sufficient water is coming in
2 the pressure switch is activating

all this has to happen within a given time to avoid the error

It takes about 20 seconds to flash E1 after it starts to fill. As soon as if flashed E1 I turned it off and opened door and the bottom of the dishwasher was full of water to where it should be.

So it it is filling to a sufficient level and at acceptable time rate. If I remove the lower sprinker arm it has water in the pipe and none when drained so water is making its way around the pipe system and I have no pipe blockages.

How can I check if the pressure switch is working/ not stuck

Could a faulty water circulation motor the large pump after the drainage pump that sends water to the arms cause this error.

Or is this error just associated to water filling into base and sump??

    Thanks

first find the pressure sw and make sure the pipe to it are not blocked

Did not have a chance to look at it until the other day

I put it on so it would fill and drain the water so I could open it up, it filled and started to wash, must of been an air lock in the pressure switch that cleared it self over the past month.

Happy days, used it about 5 times now no issues working as it should.

    Thanks
