Hi all,
We have an AEG washer dryer that has stopped drying. It’s heating ok, and the fan works – everything ends up very hot and wet and then it gives up.
Mod: L75670WD
ProdN: 914604801
Had local engineer to look as removing the duct to clear out clogs looked more effort than I was keen on, and he stripped what he could, confirmed all heating and fan is fine but the blockage appears to be within a duct in the drum.
He (and I agreed!) couldn’t see any way of clearing it. We poked various things in where we could, and managed to get some clumps of fluff out and it has now gone to some air circulation (when he started, there was basically nothing) and while it’s better, I’ve just done 3 runs of a drying cycle to get some clothes to “still damp”. It’s not great.
Before I condem this stupid design of inaccesible blocked tubes to the scrap heap (it’s only 6 years old and works fine otherwise!) I thought I’d ask on here incase we are missing something obvious.
I don’t have the service manuals obviously, but he looked and couldn’t find anything. Surely there must be someway of getting at the blockage??
