whats the most expensive tool u brought to do your job, and how much would you spend on something to help you complete the job easier/quicker???

Megger (Metrohm actually) about £250 and Loop Tester (similar cost)!!
Essential gear for all to carry really :tup:

My Makita cordless drill with fast charge and a spare battery pack, can’t rememebr exactly what it cost but I can recall it was the best part of £300. Absolutely essential for site install work and those damned dryers with God knows how many screws on the back just to change the flippin’ belt! 🙂
I have got meters and stuff as well but I’ve no idea what they originally cost.

The most expensive “tool” that saves me endless hours of arsing about is what you are looking at right now, a PC 😀

My refrigeration rig, circa £550 plus vat, my lokring pliers circa £350.00 but I have had them for over 5 years now and my megger which I’ve had for 10 years + and that was around £350.00 plus vat. Considering the use I’ve had out of them….worth every penny.

A couple of years ago I employed an engineer who came recommended.
He cost me a fortune in unused spares, recalls and lost trade!!

cant let on to much details at moment as still in early stages, but so far works well and should all save us time and money. not seen new screwfix cat yet anything good in it .Re: whats the most expensive tool you own
