ParticipantHello,
Having trouble with our Bosch Serie 2 dishwasher and the dreaded ‘check water’ light (Z-Nr: 00218 … this model does not have a screen to display an error code).
Have checked the impeller and filter – no blockages. However, after every wash there is some water left over (approx. 1-2 inches) within the filter/impeller well area (below the filter cover). Generally, taking this water out with a sponge after each wash (including extracting any residual water inside the impeller housing) seems to do the trick, and the dishwasher then works normally for one wash. We have tipped the dishwasher to approx. 80-90 degrees on a few occasions and drained some residual water out, but the check water light still comes on frequently.
Hoping there is a straightforward solution – grateful for any advice, thank you! 🙂

Moderatorin that case it is most likely a fill fault
cant take you to exact part as you dont list model but on a lot of units there is a reed switch either on a little board or seperatly
(impellor jug) that counts the water in. this is the first thing I would swop and see what happensDave

Moderatorhttps://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/611317-bosch-dishwasher-flow-meter
you will find this part on the right side in the plastic water unit
check wiring to it ( had cables eaten by mice before today) after that try changing it
cant promise I am right as i have not inspected machine.
I carry reed switches in the vasn and solder them to the board to make things quicker and cheaper. if you could source a suitable reed you could also do this or just replace the whole boardDave

ParticipantThank you – do you have any links to a website or YouTube video etc. which can provide a step by step guide to removing the old flow metre and replacing it with the new one? Many thanks!

Moderatoris there a reasonable flow of water into the machine as if its too slow it will trigger a fault

ParticipantThanks for the quick reply. Yes, I think the water flow into the dishwasher is fine, it doesn’t seem to have any problem drawing water, but gets stuck when it comes to draining it out. That’s when the check water light comes on, with a puddle of water at the bottom mid cycle. We have checked the impeller and the drainage pipe, both of which seem clear. Really puzzled…
