Hi, another fault with this old Bosch dishwasher. You’ve previously helped me replace the suppressor. This morning the machine tripped the main circuit breaker when i tried to start it. Now it either trips immediately when turned on or occasionally will power up then trip if a program is started.

    Any ideas on potential causes?

There’s a little bit of water in the base. Salty build up near the motor. Looks like it might have been leaking a little bit? Can i disconnect the heater and pump to check if they’re causing the trip?

When the white and purple wires are disconnected from the motor the machine no longer trips the breaker. So, i guess a new motor is required? Is there any chance that if i dry out the motor, clean off the salt and stop further leaks that it will work?

Ouch, yes that’ll probably write it off. Thanks Dave.
