    Attended Siemens vented dryer
    WT36V398GB/10

    Fault ‘filter/hose’ error.

Found blockage on underside of element box. Layer of fluff completely covering the element coils.

Drum noticeably egg shaped, hence bad front seal.

Am I correct in assuming the only way this can happen is if the bottom heater coils are not being used, usually, small amounts of lint are burned away unnoticed?

Anyway, element circuits were fine. So, if my thinking is correct, module is to blame -not supplying current to bottom heat coils. Probably faulty relay.

Deemed it unsafe to use as potential fire risk?

Anyone came across this issue before, please?

Was put off job, by machine being in bits when I arrived. Customer had done a DIY job. Wasn’t a straight panel left, screws all over the place, plastic brackets snapped, broken.

What’s your protocol if attending machine after customer fails with self repair?

    Thanks all
