Hi I have a Zanussi ZBB28651SA integrated fridge freezer. Recently it has started freezing food inside the fridge area despite being set on it’s max temperature (8degC). I’ve checked the door seals, tested the thermal cut out and heater element in the freezer but all of these appear ok.

It has an electronic control panel inside the fridge which I assume connects to a thermistor elsewhere as there is no thermostat or sensor inside the fridge itself as far as I can tell.

Could anyone tell me *exactly* where this sensor/thermistor is located and, just as importantly, where I can buy a replacement?

Desperate to get this fixed asap.

    Many thanks!

first you need to find the connection to the board and check resistance values of thermistor

values expected in table below and positioning

dont try to get at it yet as there is a way to do it as far as i can see but too big to post all at once

    Hi Dave,
Thanks again for your support with this. I can’t tell from looking at the board which wires are associated with the thermistor. However I’ve tested those that come into the unit as pairs: a red and blue pair, then two yellow/white. In any case I’m not getting any figures like the table shown. I get 8ohms on one pair and open circuit from the other ones.

needs to be checked but this kit is probably what you need

    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/50292181000-air-sensor-repair-kit

you basically drill a hole to find cable and joint a new sensor in

    some of the instructions below
