ParticipantHello, I wonder if you can help. I have tried searching the forums without success.
At the end of the drying cycle my DW comes up with an F13 error. The book seems to imply that this is a water input error. I have. He checked the filter, it was clean and checked the water output where it meets the waste under the sink. All clean.
If this a water input problem why at the end of the drying cycle when there is no water coming in?
Is there anything else I should be looking for.many thanks

ParticipantThankyou for correcting the model number. I am still struggling with the F13 error. i have again checked water outflow and checked the filter on the aguastop all looks normal. Water pressure has not dropped either. The error still only appears during the drying cycle.
Could it be the Aquastop is faulty? Do you think I should try and replace? The one available here does not list model no G4204. Do you have one for this model. Is it straight forward to replace?

ParticipantThank you Dave, the water pressure is controlled by a pressure reducing valve which I gave a couple of turns last night to increase the pressure. There is no gauge so I cannot be sure what the pressure is. At the taps the flow did not seem much different. The wash did complete without error. On a machine that is only 4 years and 2 months old I am not impressed with Miele’s famed reliability. I do not think that I can test for any of the other likely faults you listed.

Moderatorwater pressure goes up and down with use. if other users in the area are using water your supply pressure will drop. see if it makes a difference by using it at odd times
put you finger over the tap to block it, then turn on slowly. if its got really low pressure you will be able to stop it pushing past your finger
the pressure reducing valve only lower the presssure if it exeeds a set value.. if your incomming water is below this value altering it wont change anything
from what i can see the unit should work on pressures down to less then 15 psi and you could stop that with your finger

ParticipantThankyou Dave, most of our washes are done on a cheaper overnight tariff. The error we were getting was happening at all times of day/night. Since tweaking the pressure reducing valve nearly two weeks ago we have not had a repeat. I’ve a plumber coming in a few weeks for a major bathroom refurb. I will ask him to check the pressure and the state of the valve.
