Hi has anyone had this fault before. washer fills with couple of inches of water when off. fitted new valve checked for back flow still doing the same. found that if the machine is switched off at the socket it doesn’t fill but if any power to machine it does. . no voltage on valves when i checked?

got to be a voltage on the valve somewhere otherwise it would still fill when turned off at wall

Not something I’ve come across, however last week I installed a brand new Candy and the valve was stuck open, machine starting to fill as soon as the hose was connected even with no power!
