We have a Neff N70 built-in oven (B17CR32N1B/35) which although installed in 2017 is not heavily used. When it’s turned on it now displays a message saying that “EcoClean must be carried out”. While this isn’t a big deal it is slightly irritating. To remove it, I believe involves turning the oven on to a very high setting for several hours, which we don’t feel is necessary or desirable.

Sometimes these settings can be removed with a combination of certain key presses and if anyone knows how to stop this message appearing we’d be very grateful.

It appears from the instructions 14.1 that the oven records the type and duration of cooking before the eco prompt comes up. So by that measure a clean does need to be done in order to keep the interior clean and hopefully extending the life.

I have not come across a cheat to turn it off and as such I don’t think I would. It’s an expensive oven which should last well if used correctly.

Thank you, Don, for taking the time and trouble to reply.

We did have the oven cleaned professionally a short while ago but maybe the EcoClean process does more than just make it look good in a cosmetic sense.
