    Hi

Must admit never heard of Montpellier, however this is the make of frost free fridge/freezer at my mothers.
Freezer is operating at -27 degrees C , but fridge is sitting at 13 degrees, unit seems to be running most of the time, I suspect it’s only pausing during the defrost cycle.
Fridge door seal seems intact, there is definately a pull when you try to open the door, so I suspect it’s air tight.
My guess therefore is a faulty fan that should blow cold air up to the fridge but will bow to others better knowledge on such matters.
As far as I can tell the thermostat in the fridge only sets the fridge temperature , there doesn’t seem to be a user settable control for the freezer temperature.
Other than the user manual not finding any documentation (service/repair manual related) or a great amount of spare parts.
Any suggestions welcome as to how to remedy.

    Thanks

    Jeremy

Montpellier is a brand sold by independant retailers, it’s a budget brand but comes with a two year guarantee. Most retailers who sell these are able in most cases able to repair as well.

First off I would try a total defrost for three days with appliance switched off and doors left open, if it has a fan in the freezer this will allow any ice build up to defrost. If this doesn’t work see if it is still under guarantee. If so ring customer service on 03333 234 473.

Thanks Don, I believe it’s over 2 years old. Will arrange for this to be done, not easy as will need to transfer freezer contents to somewhere else.
