ParticipantJust had the dubious pleasure of attending one of them this morning. The sump hose is punctured and needs replacing.
After a bit of detective work (as usual), I have found the part number, it’s 1320721424.
Question is how do you even get to it? It’s one of those ghastly cabinets where there is one rivet which prevents you from taking the top off. I can’t see how to get the front off without first removing the top. Any pointers?Lucie

ParticipantSadly not, that would be too easy!
Saw the same thing on an Ikea tvattad, also made by Electrolux. Was a brand new one, so much for making appliance repairable…

Moderatormanual only mentions the non integrated model
just undo 2 screws, slide back and its off
no such luck in your case

ParticipantI’ve never seen the lid riveted in place, are you confusing the slide off fixing?
Lid should slide back and off once the screws are removed. Then drawer out, screws holding dispenser, fascia and mounting plate perpendicular off, then 2 joining plates for the cabinet seems, 2 screws holding the 2 halves about 6;inches down , door seal off the front, 3 screws underside at the front and then from memory that is it and the front cabinet half lifts off. It isn’t that hard to do, just needs a careful approach and not afraid to remove things.January 5, 2023 at 2:12 pm #485190SWERV
ParticipantI think the rivet you are referring to is just a locating rivet. The top should just slide back once the screws are removed.
The front does come off, a bit of work but pretty straight forward.Merv

ParticipantAh I see. Well on that Ikea machine, the first thing I tried to do was to take the top off and couldn’t. Can’t remember which way I pulled, but it wasn’t budging. Fortunately it wasn’t essential to doing the job I needed to do.
On this machine I looked inside from the back and saw the earth wire or something is fastened to the lid and was wondering if that was why it was riveted on.
If it’s a sliding off fixing/locating rivet it may be worth a go.
Thanks for that, I’ll get back to the customer and see what she says.
