    Hi

I have an aged (15year) Whirlpool ADG 7560 Dishwasher which has hardly been used. On the odd occasion we did use it it was great. However, last week or so it seems to go through its cycle and appears to make all the right noises but fails to wash the plates properly.

    I have checked the following:
    – Water Inlet Pipe OK and water is allowed into the Machine.
    – Drain Pump & Outlet Hose all OK as the machine drains properly.
    – Heater checked by Meter & gives right Resistance (c. 20 Ohms).
    – Main Wash/Recirculation Pump – removed, inspected, and run on bench – all OK. I can hear the Pump running. Resistance c. 30 Ohms.
    – Controller appears OK as can run the various programs including the short Test Programme which does not highlight any problems.
    – Tablet Dispenser works OK (opens when demanded by controller).
    – Filter Plate & Circular Filter Cylinder at Bottom of machine cleaned & inspected; all OK.
    – Sprayer Arms (Top & Bottom) all cleaned and there is no damage!

The only thing I have found so far is that the Sprayer Arms DO NOT appear to spray (rotate), even though they are free when turned by hand. They remain in whatever position I set them!

I am buffled! Can someone please suggest any other tests I could carry out? Is there any other filter (internal to the machine) that if blocked would not allow the Sprayers to work?

    Thank you!

check the wiring in the door as these had a tendancy to snap wires if the wire guard is damaged or the wires harden with age

Thanks Dave. Yes, I was aware of that and so I removed the bracket and checked all wires were intact.

Today, I run the machine and bypassed the Door Lock and I could see water trickling out of the Lower Sprayer. The Circ Pump was running but not generating enough water pressure.

I let the machine finish its cycle, turned off from Mains, syphened whatever water was left at the bottom and removed the Pump. There appears not to be anything obviously broken on the Pump other than there is a lot of play on the pump stem (vertically) and I can’t imagine this is by design. I have started searching for a replacement part but so far with no success. The particulars for the Pump are:

    – Askoll, Made in Italy, Mod.M 95.1, Art.295106, Cod. 461972474392, 230-240Vac, 50Hz, 0,70A CI.F
    – On the bottom of the Dishwasher there is also a label: SERVICE: 8542 755 15879

I would welcome any suggestions of where to source a replacement part please!

(I have taken photos of the Pump but for whatever reason I can’t seem to upload them here!).

    Thank you again
    Chris

Thank you again Dave. I have had a look at the Website you suggested; not seen the exact Pump but have sent an inquiry (and sent photos). For my knowledge, can Pumps lose strength over time? or is the excess rotor play vertically on the stem the cause of the lack of water pressure?
    THANK YOU again!

You will see the Pump does not have a mounting bracket, instead it has a plastic part which extends behind it (other side of black rubber chamber) and this inserts into a rubber ring on the side of the dishwasher body plate which gives it support. It may be possible to purchase an equivalent pump body which can take the plastic support – but I have not found one yet! Any help here will be greatly appreciated as the alternative is to accept defeat and buy a new machine! (which I don’t want to do just yet).

THANK YOU again Dave – Yes, I gave them the 12 digit code and they have recommended exactly the same one you have. Still not sure how it affixes onto the machine but I will work that out once I get the Pump. Very grateful for you holding my hand. Have a great day.

if you look below the hole the other motor poked through there are 2 holes where the braket on the new motor bolts down
